Two years ago a fire started in a coffee machine on the sixth floor of the school of architecture at the Delft University of Technology. Now the school has risen from the ashes, and built its front desk out of books salvaged from the library. Just don't try to borrow the one on the bottom.

Judging from the images of the fire on Archinect is is surprising that they were able to recover enough books to build this desk.
