Recycloop: Everything Including the Kitchen Sink

Images from 2012 architecten on flickr

Brigitte at Inhabitat beat me to the "everything but the kitchen sink" joke about this temporary structure built in Amsterdam two years ago, entirely out of kitchen sinks.

It is the "sustainable skybox", a multi-purpose space for neighbourhood cultural activities, designed by 2012architecten and Jeanne van Heeswijk.

Superuse writes:

The panels are connected to a sort of constructivist scaffolding and are now open on the bottom end, the inside space has a comfortable breezy openness. On this picture it really has become a box in the sky, since the blue of the house meets heaven: Air-castle made of stainless steel.

Not much to the interior....
