Peter Busby of Perkins + Will Canada On Green Building (Interview)

Lloyd Alter and Peter Busby

Peter Busby of Perkins + Will Canada has designed what has been called "The greenest building in North America", the Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability in Vancouver. He is now working on Canada's first building that meets the almost impossible standards of the Living Building Challenge. I had the opportunity to interview him on one of visits to his Toronto office in a converted Planters peanut factory.

Peter talks about original green vs gizmo green, wood construction, urban design and the challenges of the Living Building Challenge. I talk too much.
