Just What We Needed Dept: Plastic Stamp Cuts Toast Into Tastier Strips

It's been awhile since we've added to the "Just What We Needed" pile, but this item was too much -- it had to be tossed onto the heap. This is one of those pieces of plasticrap that when you see it, all you can do is tilt your head to one side and think, "Yep, it's because of stuff like this that we're in this mess." Found on Coolest Gadgets, which states, "There is nothing quite like having some toast early in the morning for a hearty breakfast - assuming you have all the other accompanying cast like bacon and eggs, of course. Well, for some of us who prefer just plain toast with some butter or jam, don't you think cutting it up into bite-sized pieces makes life a whole lot easier? "

Maybe easier -- but we think that's probably what the trusty old multi-purpose kitchen knife is for...

PerpetualKid sells the product for $3.99, and insist that breakfast is oh so much tastier when toast is tiny. "Rock the stamper over your un-toasted piece of bread, toss your bread in the toaster and when it's done pull it apart for tasty toast strips! It's that simple."

Yep, so simple you need a special piece of plastic to accomplish it. Facepalm.
