Crystal Bridges by Moshe Safdie

These "Crystal Bridges" are designed by architect Moshe Safdie, and are being built for a museum and cultural centre in Bentonville, Arkansas. The design aims to enhance and protect the natural beauty of the site, and to achieve a high level of sustainability in the use of construction materials, maximizing reliance on daylight, water and flood management. The buildings deploy wood primarily, harvested from the region, and concrete structures. Two structures, which are both dams and bridges, are placed across the ravine forming two great ponds. :: Crystal Bridges via Land+Living
