Blumebox Sprouts My Monet Kids Kit For Little Artists

Photo credit: BlumeboxBlumebox (which is both the name of the company and the product) has planted a new seed of an idea: A reusable, 100 percent recyclable flower vase that your pint-sized Michelangelos can decorate and then fill with cut blooms, whether as a rainy-day activity, a birthday present, or a gift for Mother's Day (hint, hint, Dads).

The My Monet Kids Kit ($5.99) comes with a 6-inch blumebox and four non-toxic crayons for adorning the uncoated surface with. You supply the petal power, although you can also fill the vase with candy in lieu of flowers. Made from 80 percent post-consumer recycled waste, each blumebox is presented flat to save storage space, but pops into shape with a few strategic pushes. A recyclable polyethylene bag tucked inside can be filled with water to keep those flowers looking purdy for Mama a little longer.
