The Stay-Cool Suit
Now not all treehuggers wear rancid ponchos, occasionally some of us have to wear a suit. We have noted that in Japan the salarymen are being exhorted to lose the suit to save energy but it is falling on deaf ears.
Imagine our joy when we learned about the Stay Cool Suit, lined with SmartFabric, a phase-change material that absorbs heat from the body when the body needs it absorbed, and releases it when it is not. We were in a meeting yesterday where a woman was wearing a fleece vest because although it was over 30 degrees outside it was under 18 in the air conditioned office tower. Under those conditions a phase change suit would be to die for. ::the Uberreview via ::Gizmodo
