Brooklyn-based Nina Valenti's NatureVsFuture collection is a sophisticated fusion of eco-chic and street style. Nina incorporates sustainable and biodegradable fabrics--organic cotton, organic wool, hemp, soy, bamboo, seacell, lyocell, Ingeo (created from corn)--as well as recycled and technological fabrics like Polartec into her collection, produced locally in NYC. Spring/summer 2010 has cutting edge yet classic fits in denim, black, gray, and white--with teal and yellow accents (click through for photos): Designer Nina Valenti speaks to her inspiration for the line, below.
