Market Publique Lookbook Gives Vintage Fashion a Modern Spin (Photos)

I've been raving over swap, borrow, buy sites like I-Ella and ReFashioner recently, but when it comes to vintage fashion, Market Publique is leading the pack.

Its online home features expert photography of a carefully-curated collection of vintage fashion and their brick-and-mortar studio, based in Brooklyn, New York, is a vintage fashion lover's dream, which is exactly what it was for me when I recently visited to style and model in their forthcoming lookbook. Photos:Founded by Pamela Castillo, Market Publique brings together a community of buyers and sellers to champion vintage fashion. When it comes to shopping online, photographs mean everything and they do it better than well; their look books breath life--and style--into older clothing, giving them a modern spin.

When Pamela asked me to represent my style site, Past Fashion Future, and model and co-style a look book I jumped, literally, at the chance to rummage through their collection and don some amazing vintage frocks and accessories.

The full lookbook hasn't been released yet but Market Publique has let a few images slip on their blog. The dress, above, made me feel like Grace Kelly and would be ideal for a garden party or prom, as Pamela says; find it here.

Read more over at Market Publique's blog. What do you think of the dresses I chose? Would you wear any of them? Tell me in the comment section, below.
