Loomstate Creates Colorful Transformer Clothing in New "321" Collection
Hot off the heels of our Best of Green Awards in which we toasted the sustainable fashion brand, we take a closer look here at the innovative collection that boasts transformer clothing worth raving about.
It's more sustainable to get more wear out of your clothes, which is one reason why we love multifunctional, versatile wardrobe staples that can be worn in more ways than one--and beyond one season. Enter Loomstate's "321" collection, which stands for "3 ways 2 wear 1 piece." The line, $118-$228 at Loomstate.org, boasts six pieces that transform into an entirely new look in just a few seconds.
Notable is the Shira Tank Dress, above, which masters the layered look by looking chic, rather than sloppy. It's reversible, rotatable, and can be worn three ways.

The collection is built entirely with one sustainable knit fabric: Tencel. Made from wood pulp that is processed in a closed-loop production, the fabric is biodegradable and sourced in the U.S. Plus, it's super soft to the touch, too.
Aside from the Aiko Dress, each piece in the line can be worn more than one way. As we raved in our Best of Green Awards, "the Akan Dress, above, can be reversed and rotated front to back for at least eight color combinations. Eight nifty dresses for the resources and cost of one? True love."
The most multifunctional of the bunch is the transformer Yoko Cardigan, pictured above, and below, which doubles as a cardigan with a shirt underneath and simply a cardigan. Available for $175 on Loomstate.org, it is offered in two classic and colorful combinations: grey and white or white and yellow.
