Fashion Me Green Solves The First Date Eco-Style Dilemma (Video)

No matter how many times you've dressed for the day, or for a first date, there's probably been a time or two that you've been stumped. FashionMeGreen.com's just-launched web tv style series can solve the latter dilemma and help with eco-style tips for every other day, too.

In the video--view it, below--host and FMG founder Greta Eagan styles two outfits, one for a casual day date and another for night, while featuring some of my favorite designers--CrOp by David Peck, Cri de Coeur, and Amour Vert--and employing the season's most notable fashion trends, including cropped jackets, neon skinny jeans, and color blocking. Take a look and find out how you can apply eco-style to your outfits--date, or no date--now.

For first day-date style, Eagan sports bright neon green skinny jeans by Current Elliot, which are made in the USA. She adds statement bracelets by Susan Rockefeller and Dirty Librarian Chains (DLC), pointing out that they serve as great conversation pieces--a notable point indeed since, with eco-fashion, there is always a story to tell: Rockefeller's pieces, for one, support ocean conservation while DLC's edgy, eco-chic jewelry is made in Brooklyn, New York with vintage materials and upcycled metals.

For a first date at night, Eagan opts for a classic dress with a semi-conservatice neckline and skirt. She employs two notable timeless trends to emerge from New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013: color blocking and cropped jackets. Fortunately, these trends are timeless, so you can start wearing them now.

She achieves the look with Cri de Coeur kicks and a CrOp by David Peck dress. She adds timeless jewelry from another one of my favorites: Emma Grady on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and Twitter.
