Cool New Recycled Shoes by Camper and Bernhard Willhelm

Needless to say eco shoes have improved by leaps and bounds over the years. This spring, shoe company Camper & designer Bernhard Willhelm are launching their ready to wear Eco shoe line, made with recycled fibers & tire tread soles, as well as, "refurbished" leather and wood. Sounds sort of crunchy? Well, they're not.

More images after the jump.

Strappy sandals and moccasin ankle boots for men, along with cute heels with fringe and flat, strappy pink sandals for women are all part of the spring collection. Each of the designs are created to be both eco-friendly and to go back to the simple designs from the early era of Camper shoes. The moccasins and flat sandals make you want to slip them on and go on a lazy picnic in the park. The heeled, strappy sandals make you want to go out and paint the town red.

Need a gift for Mother's Day? Here is something none of the other mothers will have yet, and they'll last longer than flowers. These days it's hard to tell the eco sandals from the other guys with modern styles and designer driven shapes. We think these sandals were made for walking, and that's just what they'll do.

Not part of the Bernhard Willhelm collection, but part of the Camper eco-collection are the Wabi sandals and the Mediterranean sneakers. The Wabi sandals are ergonomic, and the company reduced the processes needed to make the shoes down to 4, making the whole system efficient. The Mediterranean sneakers are updating three classic Camper styles - Peu, Camaleon and I-Mar and are made from organic cotton canvas and vulcanized rubber. :Camper
