Petition to Ban Bee Death-Linked Pesticides Gathers 1.2 Million Signatures

When I posted on new research linking neonicotinoid pesticides to bee deaths, I noted that bee numbers improved after bans on these insecticides in France and Germany. I also noted that an entire supermarket chain had banned neonicotinoid use on its own-brand produce.

So there's clear evidence that we can indeed move beyond the use of these chemicals, we just need citizens to push for it. And that's exactly what they are doing. An Avaaz petition for a global ban on neonicotinoid pesticides 1,247,318 signatures and counting. Add your voice to the call to save the bees.
