Teamwork Creates Recycled Sail and Tire Bags
Image via: Teamwork Bags
Co-owners of Teamwork Bags, Nick Stygstra, Justin Mast and Nick Stockton, are just three local boys from the Great Lakes region with a passion for business and the environment. The result: Teamwork Bags, made from recycled sails and bike tires - all local items that would otherwise end up in a local landfill. The bags come in two styles - the handy farmers-market/grocery store-style tote bag, and the bike messenger bag. All bags are made from boat sails, thus all the bag's names are boat's names. Each style comes in 8-12 different color combinations, with fairly simple colors and design constructions.
Recycled tractor tires make for sturdy bags - hey, if they can take a pounding on the pavement, surely they can carry whatever you can throw at them. Plus, any bags purchased locally in Grand Rapids are personally bike-delivered by owner Nick. Bags retail for between $45 and $165, depending on the size, and you can find them online at Teamwork Bags.
