Click through for details: The panel will explore "how American fashion designers and leaders within the fashion system establish sustainable practices of using recycled, renewable, organic fibers and the employment of fair labor while deepening the public's understanding of what constitutes sustainability within the fashion system." Julie Gilhart is joined by Mary Ping, designer and founder of Slow and Steady Wins the Race; Caroline Priebe, designer and founder of Uluru for a panel discussion for the discussion moderated by "Ethics + Aesthetics" guest curators Francesca Granata, fashion theorist, and Sarah Scaturro, textile conservator at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.
The event takes place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26 in Lecture Hall 213 at 144 West 14th Street, New York City and is free.
