At the GreenShows during New York Fashion Week we saw a wide range of green fashion, from elaborate gowns made from lamp shades by Luis Valenzuela to dramatic unisex clothing in Ashton Michael Black Label. Los Angeles-based fashion label Lavuk met us on the ready-to-wear end of the spectrum with casual eco-chic garments, featuring playful and creative detailing.

Click through for photos from Lavuk's Spring 2011 ready-to-wear collection, which is inspired by German biologist Ernst Haeckel's Art Forms in Nature--a book of lithographic and autotype prints.
