New York Green Fashion Week: A Fresh Look at Edun Spring 2011 (Slideshow)

For ethical fashion label Edun, founded by U2 front man Bono and his wife Ali Hewson, achieving their goal of creating more jobs in Africa, one of the company's founding principles back in 2005, has to be simultaneously developed with creating a product that is in high demand. On September 11, Edun showed their Spring 2011 Collection on an outdoor runway beneath The High Line in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood.

The fresh new collection, designed by Sharon Wauchob, is a vision of Africa and is still inspired by the continent's sweeping desert landscape even though most of the label is now manufactured in China. More on that, including excerpts from my chat with Ali Heson and Sharon Wauchob, and photos from the collection in our slideshow, below.
