With fall, comes cooler temps and seasonal trends and yet the Uniform Project's (U.P.) little black dress is still in style.

For their October pilot project, the U.P. has teamed up with solo artist Isis Salam, formerly of the Canadian duo Thunderheist, to don a LBD by Tara St. James, designed with optimum functionality in mind.

The dress, according to the U.P., "had to have stage presence, be photo op-ready, and have lounge-in-the-studio ability."

The dress is an over-the-head LBD made with stretchy organic cotton, organic wool and Lycra jersey knit; it will soon be available in the Uniform Project store. Keeping in line with the U.P.'s charitable fundraisers, the October pilot project will be raising money for One Laptop Per Child--an initiative that provides laptops to children in developing countries.
