Before New York City is in a frenzy over Fall 2011 collections at Fashion Week next month, we're taking a fresh look at local Brooklyn designer JoAnn Berman's Pre-Fall 2011 collection, the "Real Housewives of Bushwick," named after her beloved 'hood.

It was about this time last year when I discovered Berman's reconstructed garments--made with donated materials, and second-hand clothing from vintage and thrift shops--and she hasn't lost her signature use layering of vibrant colors and patterns, which is what first drew me to her designs.
