Icebreakertraceable clothing, infuses their active wear collection with everyday wardrobe staples this season, making it even easier to go from work to the gym without a wardrobe change.
The brand premiered pieces from their latest collection to editors, writers, and media folk at their SoHo TouchLab (102 Wooster St) in New York City on October 20, 2011. I was on the scene to get the scoop on the best of Spring 2012. Take a look:From the Journeys range for women, the Cruise dress is a wardrobe stable with a sporty twist. It's a little black dress with a racerback. Dropped armholes and a low-cut neckline make is ideal for layering, as styled in the picture, above.

Launching this season is Black Sheep, a rage of luxury sweaters for men and women. Made with merino wool grown in New Zealand's Southern Alps, the knitwear is available in four styles for men and two for women. A must-have for women is the long-sleeve Athena V neck, which boasts cozy thumb holes.
For men, the long-sleeve Aries Crewe brings sporty stripes to a a classic crew neck. Stripes also make a cameo on a women's style, pictured below. Unfortunately, the stripes appear trendy, and the sweater boring, as opposed to the classic look achieved by the men's version.

New to Nature, Icebreaker's line of women's underwear made with lightweight merino fabric, this season are bras. Notable is a fully line, pull-over Siren Bra. Available in sizes small to extra large, the bra has an attractive cut and is a comfortable alternative to under wire. They also offer a sporty bra from their "Sprite" collection.
You won't be able to scoop up these pieces until next season, but you can get your hands on their fall 2011 collection now, online at Icebreaker.com. A favorite is their Women's Cascade Fleece Jacket, which I brought home from the event, compliments of Icebreaker. It helped me stay warm post run with merino wool RealFleece. It's ideal for cold to very cold weather and is best as a layering piece.
