I (Heart) NY Snowglobe with Deli Bag

While traipsing through New York's Cooper-Hewitt museum this weekend, TreeHugger came accross this fascinating artistic statement. Andrew Coates's I (heart) NY snowglobe appears to be the typical tourist schwag, but look more closely: swishing through the snowy air-water is a brown plastic deli bag, the kind that every bodega worker gives out bazillions of unnecessarily every day, that you see in the gutter, and occasionally find peskily hanging in the branches of sad little trees. Please folks, don't take 'em if you don't need 'em! $24 (Call to order; 212-849-8355.) ::Cooper-Hewitt [by MO]
