Firth Stuns in Bamboo Suit at "A Single Man" Premiere

We have been following Livia Firth's Green Carpet Challenge on Vogue since inception, and we were delighted with her latest look: a tailored bamboo suit by TreeHugger favorite, Linda Loudermilk. As the wife of English Actor Colin Firth, Livia is making many red carpet appearances and she is dressing with the three S's -- sexy, stylish, and sustainable -- in mind. Livia Firth tells us more about bamboo, below (with a shout out to TreeHugger too):

There has been a lot of coverage in the States recently about the use of bamboo in textiles - TreeHugger tells all here. There are good methods of harvesting and processing that make it an ecologically superior fibre to rayon, but there are many equally dodgy methods and sources, which are no better and -- in some cases -- worse.

Linda Loudermilk's office tell me this is a fabric from a source they have used for years. It is also certified by the Oeko-Tex label that evaluates environmental impact, global impact, fossil fuel use and local impact assessment.
