Ethical Bathing Suits at BTC Elements

Because summer is here, we've been on the hunt for some ethical beachwear. And although the solar powered bikini was a big hit with our readers, we were looking for something that was a bit more practical. We instantly found what we were looking for when we clicked on the "beachwear" section of BTC Elements. Sustainable designer, Anna Cohen, had created this teal bikini from fabric that is a 'mill end,' polyester and lycra blend, leftover from the making of Olympic speed skater uniforms. We love the beach tote they've paired it with, created from hand-wrapped raffia (a renewable resource) discs and fairly traded out of Madagascar. Also found at BTC Elements is a sustainable bikini from one of our favorite designers, Jenny Hwa of Loyale. It's made from 100% organic cotton with a 100% bamboo lining. It's at a great price too! ::BTC Elements
