Linda Wong admits to having a major bag fixation. In fact, the designer and founder of Canopy Verde, a line of eco-friendly clutches and totes that debuted last fall, was so vociferous about curtailing the use of plastic bags that her high-school friends soon dubbed her the "bag police."

Canopy Verde's premiere collection features seven breezily sophisticated designs, sized for every conceivable purpose, from the slim Calamint clutch to the roomy Cassia weekender. Defined by clean, architectural lines and visually arresting wood and chrome-free leather accents, each bag uses a blend of organic cotton and bamboo fabric and certified-non-toxic dyes.
