When it comes to footwear aesthetic I love the bright, bold, and beautiful--and sustainable design, of course! New York-based Osborn Design, makers of fair trade shoes made in Guatamala from African Kente cloth, recycled clothing, and handwoven Guatemalan fabrics, has collaborated with fashion label Boxing Kitten, known for their use of vibrant African wax block print fabrics, on a limited-edition shoe for summer--sure to brighten up your tootsies. These shoes are super limited-edition, only 50 pairs were made, and we imagine they'll go quickly--even with a steep price tag of $180. Fortunately, there is more to be had of Boxing Kitten beautiful, vibrant African-inspired print. Their apparel is made following a unique process: no two garments are the same. More from Boxing Kitten's website, below.

The collection uses vibrant African wax block print [100% cotton] fabrics, which makes each piece unmatched. Each garment fuses bold print combinations with charmingly demure patterns and flawless construction. This ironic sensibility is the common thread intertwining throughout, skillfully woven by its founder and designer, Maya A. Lake.

We were psyched to see that garments care calls for hand washing in cold water and line drying; Now that's low maintenance and low impact!
