Air-Purifying Dress is a Breath of Fresh Air

Potentially the world's first air-purifying dress, "Herself" is intended to show that textiles can eliminate pollutants from the air. Developed by Catalytic Clothing, the highly-experimental design is just the beginning of a long-term collaboration between the University of Sheffield, the University of Ulster, and the London College of Fashion. Ecouterre has the story:

Herself is a bit of a mystery, to be sure. Although it was displayed at the University of Sheffield in October, many details are still under wraps. A preliminary release from the Helen Storey Foundation notes that the dress is made from sprayed concrete and embedded with "purifying technology."
