Adhesif Clothing goes down the rabbit hole with their Alice in Wonderland-inspired spring 2010 collection. Designer Melissa Ferreira works with vintage fabrics--so in vogue--to create modern, season-appropriate pieces made locally in Vancouver, BC. Everything about this collection is girly and whimsical. Think high-cut, empire waists and hourglass silhouettes that really accentuate a woman's figure. I was especially excited to finally use my 1950s 'bark cloth', originally used from the 1930s to 60s for drapery, the textured fabric was perfect for these pieces. My favorite design this season is the Suspend Shorts. The detailing along the front are very rare 'cat-eye' shell buttons from the 1950s.
