In Cincinnati, the the new Mayor wants to cancel a streetcar line that is already under construction, at a probable cost of US$ 125 million. In Toronto, Mayor Ford managed to cancel a seven-stop LRT that was already started, wasting C$ 90 million in sunk costs and replacing it with a three-stop subway extension that will cost close to a billion and a half bucks. He says "people want subways, folks, subways, subways subways."
