Sweeping Up After New York Design Week
Reclaimed Cleveland

There was a lot of recycling going on at the south end of ICFF, where there are usually the smaller booths with young designers on a budget. For some reason, a lot of them are from Cleveland. Reclaimed Cleveland "re-purposes local materials that would otherwise be bound for disposal. The goal of the company is to serve Cleveland’s progression into a sustainable 21st century, while preserving its history in heirloom quality furniture."
Each piece lists the provenance of the wood; the giant table shown here was made from the floor of a Chrysler factory where massive stamping machines were anchored to the very thick wood.
