Yes, design royalty, you know who you are, and you are all in Milan right now for the 49th edition of the world's biggest contemporary furniture fair: Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2010, April 14-19. Once again, some 300,000 people will flock to this Italian city to soak up the launches, innovations, and ideas...as locals smile toothy grins while charging 10 times more euros for a bed.
But it's worth it, as the annual fair -- and perhaps more importantly, the hundreds of off-site exhibitions and events that come with it -- define furniture design as we know it. Yes, that means green design too. Take Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka's Memory chair for furniture manufacturer Moroso, shown here.
