The Little Free Library website has a template for the construction of the little buildings. They encourage people to use "recycled and found materials and to demonstrate green building techniques and materials whenever possible" They also encourage creativity and that's what makes the project so intriguing.

This faux "Tudor" creation was spotted on this Treehugger's old street: not a Tudor kind of place, but who cares. It contains a selection of high brow (Charles Dickens' biography) and low brow books and information manuals.
