Eugene Stoltzfus designed the Euclid series of environmentally friendly cork pieces. I came across them in Jonathan Davis' pieceHome house.
Joaquin selected them as bedside tables, raving about their eco-credentials. The pieces, that double as stools and coffee tables, are made from solid cork.
Interestingly, Stoltzfus was formally chairman and president of Rosetta Stone, the language software company, before he left in 2006 and returned to his original profession as an architect (where he now designs furniture as well as buildings).
