Crayons might not be considered a toy in the traditional sense, but what better tool is there to unlock the creativity brewing inside a child's mind?

We're all taught colors in school, but it wasn't until we wielded a paper-wrapped Crayola Crayon that we truly understood them. The first of these simple drawing tools were first released in 1903, and have no doubt been the preferred first medium of just about every artist since. What's more, even if they don't become little Picassos, kids given crayons today will surely have countless priceless works of art to be a gift to themselves in the years that follow.
