Righteous Fur: Can Fur Fashions Save Wetlands?
Fashion designer and Planet Green contributor Cree McCree has found a source for fur pelts to use in her fashions that is arguably one of the most sustainable - nutria, a large invasive rodent. The animals are killed by hunters and trappers to keep the populations down. Cree McCree feels her fashions are eco-friendly because they utilize the pelts of animals that destroy riparian habitat, plus the pelts would go to waste if not used for something.
