New York Green Fashion Week: A Fresh Look at Edun Spring 2011
On September 11, Edun showed their Spring 2011 Collection, the first designed by new Edun designer Sharon Wauchob, on an outdoor runway beneath The High Line in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood.
Post runway show, the girls from Ecouterre and I caught up with Ms. Wauchob, a former Louis Vuitton designer who is based in Paris. This is Ms. Wauchob's first collection for Edun and I was curious to know if and how the brand was continuing with its focus on creating jobs in Africa, which was one of the founding principles in 2005 when U2 frontman Bono and his wife Ali Hewson founded the company:
