According to The New York Daily News, a drunk badger caused a traffic jam in Germany last year. Reportedly "drunk as a skunk," the chubby, stubby-legged omnivore tossed back too many over-ripe cherries -- and then decided to sleep it off in the middle of a road. Local authorities had to prod it with a stick in order to convinced it to nurse the hangover in greener pastures.

This badger was lucky -- an estimated 1 million vertebrates are run over each day in the United States (a rate of one every 11.5 seconds).
