What kid hasn't fallen in love with the clever and cantankerous red fox after reading Roald Dahl's classic Fantastic Mr Fox? These social animals, however, can be terrors outside their native regions.



The red fox has become the most widely distributed carnivore on the planet. Its presence in Australia and the temperate forests of North America is causing serious problems for native predators, ground-nesting birds, and marsupials.
