Giant African Land Snail
The Giant African land snail isn't endangered, but it could help save another threatened species: Cross River gorillas. The Wildlife Conservation Society hopes that by promoting snail farming in Nigeria, farmers will dedicate themselves to the more lucrative mollusk crop, which brings in more than five times as much money as a poached gorilla.
