This underwater stone is really a fish! In honor of Poisson d'avril, our photo of the day is a stonefish, which belongs to the genus Synanceia. Stonefish camouflage themselves, but also have a painful sting. They are found throughout the Indo-Pacific region, as well as off the coasts of Florida and the Caribbean.
