The Eurasian lynx is found in European and Siberian forests, as well as in South and East Asia. The species' thick fur is perfectly suited to the cold winter weather of its habitat. Though the species is not under any threat of extinction, its population in many parts of western Europe has been greatly reduced, and some areas are reintroducing the lynx to bring back numbers.
