For years, one of TreeHugger's favorite wildlife photographers has been Thomas Shahan, whose wildlife of choice is of the insect and arachnid variety. He has an amazing talent for getting up-close portraits of bugs, making the miniscule seem larger than life. The bold colors, strange shapes, and even the personality of insects and spiders comes out in Shahan's beautiful images.
