My Brush With the Wildlife in Kenya
When I told people I was going to the Lipton Tea plantation in Kenya, everyone said I had to stay longer and see some wildlife. The good people at Lipton had already thought of that so our last day was a car ride from Kericho to Nairobi, punctuated by a trip to Nakuru National Park. Unfortunately we were there midday and most the animals were having a siesta during the hot part of the day.
We did get started by seeing a monkey in the parking lot while we waited for permits to enter the park. Yes, she is eating a chicken bone which was thrown to her by someone in our car who was roundly chastized for feeding her. It's hard to tell, but she has a very tiny baby holding on to her belly.
