Hot Scenes from Raging Wildfires
Wildfires, massive forest fires that burn across thousands of square miles, are a natural part of the forest ecosystem but when they spread across farmland, into towns and cities, or over major roads, they can have a serious physical and financial impact.
A wildfire that reached the edges of Los Angeles in 2007, seen here, burned tens-of-thousands of acres in the county and resulted in several injuries.
