Probably the most well known of the carnivorous plants is the Venus Flytrap, or Dionaea muscipula. It's jaw-like structure is ominous and begs the question: "How fast can a plant really be?" Usually, the answer is: not very. The Venus Flytrap, however, is a member of a small group of plants capable of making very rapid movements.
