Ah love. With Valentine's Day around the corner, and the recent shocking swan divorce, we decided to ponder the happy couples in the animal kingdom...as well as two happy cheaters.

"Of the roughly 5,000 species of mammals, only 3 to 5 percent are known to form lifelong pair bonds," reports MSNBC. For the sake of maternal cuteness, let's start with the serial monogamous wolf.

This Mexican gray wolf snuggling with pups at the Sedgwick County Zoo is unlikely to stray unless her mate dies, gets kicked out of the pack, or is no longer healthy enough to breed.
