Best-Looking Endangered Species: Mexican Walking Fish
It's sad but true: Endangered fish sometimes get a little less attention than other endangered species because most of them simply aren't as cute. (And really, come on: Is a trout cuter than a baby panda?) But the Mexican Walking Fish (otherwise known as the Axoloti salamander) might just escape this shallow ignorance with it's tiny eyes, endearing little smile, and cartoon-character-sized head--which would be a good thing for all of us, since the danger to it comes from the destruction of habitats and polluted water, and there's nothing cute about that.
