"The Kapawi Ecolodge is comprised of seventeen elliptical-shaped buildings that line the edge of a lagoon off Ecuador's Capahuari River," says COllins Design. "All construction was done utilizing local Achuar techniques, and it took two years to build the complex."
On-site, groups can choose from activities that include night hikes, bird watching trips, and after-dark canoeing. ($800-920 for three nights)
