Whenever I hear about "the race to build the first 3D printed house" I want to scream in upper case ITS ALREADY BEEN DONE. But everyone thinks that 3D printing only happens when a computer tells a device to squeeze goop out of a nozzle. That's just a subset of a much larger manufacturing revolution, digital fabrication, which I used to call downloadable design.
