This is the Barbican: a residental building from 1982 which people either love or hate. It is a lot of concrete but half of the 15.2 hectares in this downtown complex are comprised of open space. The outside long hallways are filled with troughs and containers that are gardened by the building's horticultural society and as well as by residents who have their own little allotments.
