When it comes to the issues that we cover every day on TreeHugger, those relating to food and health have a unique impact on our lives; after all, we all have to eat, every day.
While that creates different challenges and opportunities across different locales and regions, many of the issues touch everyone. Who owns the food that's being produced? How can more people get more of the food produced where they live? And how can we protect ourselves and our families from the more persistent dangers out there?
The results are in for TreeHugger's third annual Best of Green Awards in the Food and Health category.
Successfully navigating it all isn't quite as easy as following a recipe, but we can all be a little more sustainable, every day, by following the lead of those here. --Written by Collin Dunn and Jerry James Stone
